I must have done something wrong - i added that Google News Bar streaming across the top of my Blog over a week ago + it slowed down the loading of my page way too much* But i think i also had about 7 Tags in it initially which prolly contributed to it's Turtleness*

@Billy, yes I tried that too, lots of tags for searches isnt that good, but it becomes a little better after some time, when no news is there.
